Novell-00

Sweet sounding, smaller guitar based on the Gibson’s budget models from the 30s & 40s.

Early 1930's L-00 tribute with Adirondack red spruce soundboard and mahogany back and sides. Finest materials throughout enable an ultra-lightweight, responsive instrument which begs to be played. Much like early 1930’s L-00s, this guitar features a chunky V neck, and wider string spacing at the saddle, as well as at the nut. Other specs available by request.

Steve’s Take: “Technically it’s a Gibson body shape. They amplify really well. They don’t have a lot of boominess. They’re small. They’re just really sweet little guitars. Back in the day they were not an expensive guitar when Gibson made them in the ‘30s and ‘40s, oftentimes completely painted black because they had three or more pieces of spruce on the top! It was a budget guitar. It just so happens to be my favorite shape, and one of my favorites tone-wise. I like the scale length too. I try to keep the spirit of the originals alive by using only minimum  appointments. But always exceptional materials.”
