Meteor

Inspired by Martin-Style & Classical Guitar Shapes

The combination of a big, chunky neck, smaller 00 size body and a 4 3/8" oversized sound hole produces a strong, projecting tone which belies its curvaceous compactness. All made possible with a superior Adirondack red spruce top, which helps produce and handles the volume well, and mahogany back and sides. Other tone woods available.

Steve’s Take: “I think it was the first acoustic shape I ever made so it’s shaped like a classical guitar, or 00. It’s a good, friendly shape, at home on the couch or in performance. It’s a well-known Martin-style shape, although Gibson and Epiphone have also done similar models. It’s a shape that’s been around forever and it excels at both finger picking and strumming.”
